Michael Dweck: Habana Libre
http://www.amazon.com/Michael-Dweck-Habana-Libre/dp/8862081847“Habana Libre is not a media-fabricated Cuban postcard of crumbling mansions or old American cars, but a revealing and contemporary work by a visual artist adept at capturing the quiet gesture, the sensuous eye and the proud and provocative pose of that most romantic of contradictions: Cuba.”

Porn star Sasha Grey gets behind the camera for this tome of self-portraits capturing those introspective moments while on set.
“When I first got into the adult industry, I decided to take my photography much more seriously. I started taking a camera with me to capture my experiences on set, so it was a moment in time, a memory for myself—not the video that would be seen by thousands of people…”

MY DEAR BOMB by Yohji Yamamoto
New autobiography from the visionary fashion designer is as unique as his collections. Ditching the usual format, Yamamoto tells his story thru fictional essays, personal reminiscences, and never before seen images.

Decoded (2010)
DECODED by Jay-Z
I’m a little late to jump on this bandwagon but I must say how impressed I am with the campaign to hustle Jay-Z’s new autobiography is. Jay teamed with NYC ad firm Droga5 along with Bing and the results are inspiring. In the book (with a great Warhol Rorschach Test cover) Jay covers his ascent, the reason behind the rhyme, and the hoods he’s passed thru on the way. Appropriate passages from the book are replicated in the most unorthodox locales such as the bottom of the Delano pool, on plates at Spotted Pig, and in the lining of a Gucci Jacket in the store window on Fifth Avenue. As part of a scavenger hunt they hid all 320 pages of Decoded in plain sight in 13 cities: on a rooftop in New Orleans, cheeseburger wrappers in New York City, and more. Fans who found them all got a chance at two tickets to any Jay-Z concert anywhere, for life!
Genius.

This new “interactive” book from photographer Henry Hargreaves features page after page of 3D topless women with one thing in common, they are all natural. Not a boob job to be seen. The book includes a free pair of 3D aviators to facilitate the process because, as Hargreaves says, “the universal truth is that looking and talking about boobs is just a lot of fun”. http://shop.three-dd.com/products/3dd-book3DD
